1. Quality - general quality of the moulding, plastics makes the units last longer and protect them from dust, rain, etc.
2. Electronics core - Many competitors use cheaper or more expensive DSP (digital signal processing) solutions, i.e. IC's that do not provide as good an image quality or maybe better ICs than we do. The whole range is available to you and we can adjust them according to your budget and quality requirements. For each model we test from the cheapest to the most expensive and provide an initial quote using the best balance so you get the best value. Common DSP brands are Sony, Sharp, Next chip, other Taiwanese and Chinese brands.
3. Quality of lens - There are many different qualities available and this greatly affects the image quality. Lower quality lenses have minor defects which may distort the image or not be the exact focal length, etc. There are lenses that are treated for glare, sun spots, etc. The lenses should also allow day and night infrared images to go through clearly.
4. Led backlighting - The LEDs used to provide backlighting for the images at night can use regular low cost LEDs to super LEDs.
5. Refurbished ICs - Other suppliers often use refurbished ICs to lower the costs. We use only new IC's with our production.
6. CMOS / CCD - There are different sensors that can be used and the price difference is relatively large between using CMOS and CCD sensors. CMOS is an analog type while CCD is digital and allows for better night vision images, sharper colors and longer lasting solutions.
